Your Ticket Buys More Than a Concert Your purchase of a season ticket to the Colorado River Concert Association buys more than just a concert; you become an arts educator. An important function of the Colorado River Concert Association is educating and creating audiences of tomorrow. When selecting artists for the performances, the Concert Association volunteers ask what students will learn from these artists. Student shows or ENCORE performances are a critical part of the artist selection process. Students Participating in the Arts Do Better! Students who participate in the arts or share arts experiences show improved academic performances and test scores in basic skills core areas such as reading and mathmatics. Students show a greater capacity for creative thinking, improved attitudes, and demonstrate a greater capacity for caring and empathy. NOTE: The recently published Rand Report substantiates these statements. It is the first comprehensive research that supports the view of the broad value of the performing arts held for years by those who have been promoting the arts. Your ticket buys a concert experience for a young person in the tri-state area. Who knows where the Encore, Concerts for Young People will lead? Could the next Pavarotti or Perlman be seeing a musician or singer who will change their life, or will the show be just the beginning of a lifetime of love of the arts? Thank
you for sharing your love of the arts with Tri-State
young people. For
